The CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings when social distancing measures are difficult to maintain. Masks offer limited protection and work better when combined with hand washing and social distancing.
Wearing a mask is mandatory in locations where there are government mandates for face coverings and for employees who cannot safely social distance in the workplace.
