Dear Sisters and Brothers:
In accordance with District 142 Bylaws Article 10 Section 1 (k.) we have created the Guide Dogs of America | Tender Loving Canines Committee for District 142! Accordingly, we are seeking dedicated members to help create and serve on the Committee. Included, but not limited to, the GDA | TLC Committee’s functioning will be:
- Event planning;
- Volunteer coordination; and
- Fundraising initiatives.
Members interested in review and approval for serving on the D. 142 GDA | TLC Committee should:
- Be a District 142 member.
- Be a District 142 member in good standing with his/her Local, District 142, and the International.
- Be a District 142 member in good standing with his/her Local, District 142, and the International, and free from any delinquencies of any nature.
- Submit a Letter of Interest via email only to: iamdl142@iamdl142.org
- No faxes, phone calls, or physical mailings will be accepted.
- Subject line on the email should read ‘GDA|TLC Committee Letter of Interest.’
- Submit a Letter of Interest via email only by Friday, June 12, 2026.
- The Letter of Interest should include the member’s:
- Full name (no initials or nicknames)
- IAM Book No.
- Local #
- Employer
- Employee #
- Station/Location
- Qualifications relative to serving on the D. 142 GDA | TLC Committee
- IAM Union service and activities
