Tentative Agreement Reached for IAM Members at Amentum/Customs & Border Protection

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

IAM District 142 held Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) negotiations with Amentum last week in Homestead, FL. In a significant shift from prior rounds of bargaining, the Company proposed standardizing IAM Union CBAs across all Customs & Border Protection sites in the United States, requiring a complete reorganization of the agreement. This was a substantial undertaking, particularly within a three-day negotiating schedule, but the Company came prepared and organized, which helped make the process more efficient. I am pleased to report that your committee was well prepared and fully committed to representing your interests at the bargaining table. After three days of negotiations, a Tentative Agreement (TA) was reached late Friday afternoon. Highlights of the new TA include:

  • GWI of 7% – 3% – 3% – 3% over a 4-year CBA

  • Vacation carry-over increased to 160 hours

  • Juneteenth holiday added
