Monday, June 1, 2026, District 142 formally notified Southwest Airlines of our intent to open Section 6 negotiations under the Railway Labor Act for our Collective Bargaining Agreement.
As we begin this important process, we want to emphasize that we approach these negotiations with professionalism, optimism, and a strong commitment to securing an agreement that reflects the hard work and dedication of our Southwest Airlines membership. We look forward to engaging in productive discussions with the Company and working together through the bargaining process.
Later this week, District 142 will be posting an official Call for Contract Proposals along with a membership survey. We encourage all members to be on the lookout for these important bulletins and to take the time to participate. Your input, engagement, and solidarity will play a critical role as we move forward.
These negotiations are extremely important to the future of our membership, and we take this responsibility very seriously. Strong participation from the membership helps ensure that your voices, priorities, and concerns are represented at the bargaining table.
Throughout this process, we are committed to keeping the membership informed at every step with timely updates and communications as negotiations progress.
