In preparation for the start of negotiations between the IAMAW and Menzies ORD 474, your District 142 Negotiating Committee met October 17, 2022, to review contract proposals submitted by the membership. The committee then met with Menzies Aviation leadership on October 18, 2022, at IAMAW District 141 Headquarters in Chicago, Illinois to begin negotiations.
Your negotiating committee: Clarence Winston and Joel Hadley, exchanged proposals with the company and discussed the following Articles:
- Article 4 – Classification of Work
- Article 5 – Seniority
- Article 7 – Hours of Service
- Article 8 – Overtime and Holidays
- Article 14 – General and Miscellaneous
- Article 15 – Sick Leave
- Article 17 – Vacation
- Article 18 – Safety and Health
- Article 23 – Pension Plan
- Article 25 – Duration
- Schedule “A” Trainers
Your negotiating team met again on October 19, 2022, to review the company’s positions and continue to write proposals for future talks. While we did make progress, we still have work to do.
