Now that the IAM has filed Section 6 openers under the Railway Labor Act for Southwest Airlines, we are ready to begin the next step in negotiating your Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA): issuing the official Call for Contract Proposals.
Submitting contract proposals is a crucial way for you, as IAM members at Southwest Airlines, to be directly involved in negotiations. Your proposals provide critical information to our negotiating team, including language that may be outdated and need to be removed or updated, language that is effective but could still be improved, and new language that should be added to the contract.
As your proposals come in, our team will collect and categorize them. Before negotiations begin, we will then send a survey to the membership asking you to rank the proposals and issues by importance. This will give your committee important guidance on how to approach negotiations.
To submit proposals, click the link or scan the QR code below, complete the form, and submit it. You may submit as many proposals as you wish, but each proposal must be submitted separately. The deadline for submission is July 5, 2026.
