Dear Sisters and Brothers:
Your IAM District 142 General Chairs for Southwest Airlines met with the Company Labor Department, CS&S Leadership, Ground OPS VP, and Senior Directors on January 9 and 10, 2024.
Topics discussed during the two days of meetings included:
- Administration of Articles 7 and 20
- FTO and DAT allotments
- Advanced TOWOP
- Holiday bids and current and future staffing
- CS&S Remote drug and alcohol policy and union representation.
The Company committed to better communication with the District involving changes to policies and/or procedures and we found them to be receptive and positive during these meetings.
We have scheduled tentative quarterly meetings through October 2024. As always, we appreciate your continued support and solidarity.
