Southwest Airlines previously announced station closures at Washington, Dulles (IAD), and Chicago O’Hare (ORD), along with a reduction in force at Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Atlanta (ATL). The preference bid, along with the station awards, will be posted tomorrow, April 2, 2026.
Members are encouraged to carefully review their awards once posted. If you identify any discrepancies or have questions regarding your contractual rights, please contact your Local Shop Steward or General Chair for guidance and assistance.
We recognize this is a challenging time for many of our members. Please know that your Union is committed to supporting you and advocating on your behalf every step of the way.
