EAP Ready to Support District 142 Members at LGA Following Air Canada Incident

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

IAM District 142 is aware of the tragic incident involving an Air Canada aircraft at LaGuardia Airport (LGA) today. While Air Canada is not a carrier represented by District 142, we recognize that many of our members work at LGA across several represented carriers and may have witnessed or been affected by this event.

Incidents of this nature can be difficult to process, whether directly or indirectly. We want to remind all members that support is available through the District 142 Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Our trained EAP representatives are here to provide confidential support, guidance, and resources to help you navigate any stress, anxiety, or emotional impact you may be experiencing.

We encourage any member who may need assistance—or who simply wants to talk—to reach out to their local EAP representative, or you can contact District 142 EAP Director Paul Shultz directly at pshultz@iamdl142.orgpm.shultz@att.net, or (704) 907-3563. You are not alone, and help is always available.

IAM District 142 stands in solidarity with all those affected by today’s events and extends our thoughts to everyone impacted.

Sincerely and fraternally,

John M. Coveny, Jr.
President/Directing General Chair

Paul Shultz
