IAM/QANTAS AIRWAYS LAX NEGOTIATIONS UPDATE

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

The parties met again this week in LAX to continue negotiations for a new collective bargaining agreement. Both the Union and Company continued dialogue in an effort to close the gap on the remaining issues.

It has been communicated to your General Chairs that information was released yesterday following the close of the meetings. As a reminder, a District 142 bulletin is the only source of information that you should consider as valid. The Union takes great care to make sure that information is shared, but only in a responsible manner. If any Qantas IAM member has any information about the source of this information, we ask that you reach out directly to a District representative to let us know who is responsible.

While this bulletin does not have anything specific concerning this week’s meetings, a follow-up bulletin will be released next week with additional information. Please keep an eye out for it.

If you have not signed up for emails and text messages from District 142, now is the perfect time to do so. Go to our website at https://atd142.org and click the buttons at the top of the homepage to “Join Our Email List” and “Sign Up for Text Messages.” It takes less than five minutes to sign up for both, and you will be ensured of receiving timely updates whenever there is news regarding your contract negotiations.

Thank you for your continued solidarity and support.

Sincerely and fraternally,

John M. Coveny, Jr.
