Dear Sisters and Brothers:
Meta, the corporation that owns Facebook and Instagram, allowed about $12 million worth of Medicare scam ads to run on its platforms last year. Scam ads accounted for 10 percent of Meta’s revenue in 2024.
This cannot stand.
That’s why we’d like to invite you to a special “Stop the Scam” webinar hosted by the Alliance and the Center for Countering Digital Hate on July 22 at 4 PM ET.
What: “Stop the Scam – How Meta Helps Scammers Target Seniors”

The amount being lost to scammers is staggering – but behind each statistic is a real person whose savings and retirement security are being stolen. Older Americans are the most frequently targeted by scams, losing peace of mind and money they cannot replace.
We need our elected officials and leaders to fight back. Sincerely and fraternally,
